This technical assignment takes an in-depth look at the construction management methods employed by Clark Construction and the existing construction conditions of 801 17th Street NW, Washington DC, the site of Lafayette Tower. Throughout the report there will be discussions on the projects schedule, building systems, project costs, project site, client information, project delivery system and the staffing plan.

This technical assignment analyzes the key features that affect the project execution of 801 17th Street NW, Washington DC, the site of Lafayette Tower. Within the report there will be explorations on several different aspects of the construction management process including a detailed projected schedule, site layout planning for the critical phases of the project, a detailed estimate of the structural system, a close look at the General Conditions requirements, and a review of some of the critical industry issues discussed at the 2008 PACE Roundtable.

This technical assignment evaluates prospective areas for research and possible improvements of 801 17th Street NW, Washington DC, the site of Lafayette Tower. Included in this report are several examinations of constructability challenges, schedule acceleration scenarios, and value engineering topics. Along with that, there are discussions of how critical industry issues affect the above mentioned items and how these issues could be considered and incorporated to better the project all around.
